RGM is a french director based in paris.
His passion for the arts begins at the music conservatory where he studies the violin.
Between the age of 19 and 23, he grabs his skateboard and camera, and travels the world sponsored by Sector9 Skateboards, Vans and Kana Beach Wear.
His acute eye and original approach open the doors to several french and international press titles that soon publish his portraits and editorial series.
In 2002, he travels about Estonia for the first time. His note-book-like pictures are exhibited at the national library in Tallinn and later at the Cité de la Mode et du Design in Paris.
His first photography book about Estonia is launched at colette in paris in 2005 and relayed by the critic. (Best European book Prize Finalist at Rencontres photographiques d’Arles 2005)
This recognition leads him to develop new projects and to investigate new artistic fields of expression.
He directs his first short film in 2006 followed by several other video projects and a TV documentary about Literature Nobel Prize nominee Estonian writer Jaan Kaplinski (2012).
From 2011, after directing several short films, documentaries and art videos installations, he starts a successful career as a commercial director.
His films for beauty, fashion and luxury brands meet his accuracy on mastering elegance and his love for human beings.
He has since directed numerous films for world’s top luxury brands such as Paco Rabanne (Bronze Grand Prix Stratégie du Luxe 2019), Louis Vuitton, Dior, Armani, YSL Beauty, Estée Lauder and Carolina Herrera as well as the Malandain National Ballet to name a few.
Currently, RGM is a multidisciplinary artist who embraces all facets of visual expression from photography, cinematography, writing and film direction.
